Science Saturday - Nature Votes Last
Consider two groups of animals:
Group 1 - cattle, gorillas, & sheep
Group 2 - humans, lions, and polar bears
Which of these two groups of mammals are “designed” to digest a low fat diet?
Neither of them!
We as mammals require fat for our survival! Fats are critical for proper functioning hormonal functions (endocrine system). The majority of the tissue in our brain requires lipids, or fatty acids for proper function. Depleting our body of this fundamental resource hurts our health and well being.
However, the difference between the two groups is ingestion and digestion. Both are different processes but we as humans partake in both - we ingest nutrient dense, high protein, high fat meats so our body and gut biome can digest the nutrients and put them to work for our survival, procreation, and wellbeing.
All from cheap forage! God’s design is miraculous

Side note,
Don't ask about the digestive system of a gorilla as I’m a farmer of cows, sheep, and chickens and not gorillas LOL!!
